Boycott Islam

(goods and services)

Say no to the so-called Religion of Peace and its blood-thirsty deity

First and foremost, the most significant thing you can do is stop buying their oil. Get rid of your car or make the switch to a non-mineral oil alternative. Avoid buying goods from Muslim countries. On a local, personal level, do not frequent Muslim-run businesses (they don't really want your custom anyway). Let your wallet do the talking.

White people 'a minority by 2027'

"A team of demographers from Manchester University has claimed that the number of white people living in Birmingham will be overtaken by the number of those with other ethnic origins by 2027.
...
And experts have already forecast that Leicester could become the first city in which white people are a minority in four years' time."

As long as that? Better ramp up immigration.

Anti-Hamas rallies staged in Gaza

Are the BBC trying to imply that they are "staged"? Probably - they do like Hamas.

"Thousands of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip are taking part in protests against the territory's Hamas rulers - despite a ban on public gatherings.

Prayers were organised which turned into marches through main towns. There are reports of injuries in clashes.

Protesters accuse Hamas of violating civil liberties and using mosques to spread political propaganda."

"using mosques to spread political propaganda" - I refuse to believe it.

Also in the peace loving Pali-territories: Press fury at Gaza blackout - Apparently we're violating their human rights by not paying for their electricity. Personally, I'd let them wallow endlessly in their own filth before I'd give them a penny. Unfortunately, I have no say.

Update 03Sept07: Eleven injured in largest Gaza protest; Protesters beaten in anti-Hamas rally in Gaza

Probation order for sex offender

"An Angus restaurant manager who carried out a string of sexual assaults after arriving in this country from Pakistan was spared jail and deportation yesterday.

Naeem Waqas Rehmat was earlier this month convicted of sexually assaulting two women and fondling a fourteen-year-old girl - two of the offences occurring in the Forfar premises where he worked - but a sheriff said the maximum prison term available to him would see the accused spend only six weeks behind bars and instead placed him on probation for three years.

Rehmat (24) was found guilty after trial at Forfar Sheriff Court of three charges, the first that on various occasions between February 8 and May 8, 2005, ... he assaulted a woman, handled her buttocks, placed his hand underneath her clothing and handled her breasts.

He was also convicted of assaulting another woman, kissing her neck and face, pushing her on to a bed, pinning her down, unbuttoning her jeans and handling her private parts ... using lewd, indecent and libidinous practices towards a 14-year-old girl, handling her breasts over her clothing, seizing her by the waist, kissing her on the face and neck, placing his hands under her clothing, handling her breasts, placing his hands down her trousers and handling her buttocks.

Rehmat returned to court for sentence yesterday, supported by members of his family including his wife and father...

During the trial, evidence was led on Rehmat’s behalf about the cultural differences between Pakistan and his adopted homeland and Mr Niven-Smith suggested the accused simply had “no proper understanding of the cultural differences” of a society where women are equal and would dress in a manner where bare midriffs and underwear are often on show."

Apparently cultural differences excuse sexual assault. At least there's an admission that women in Pakistan are not equal.

"Turning to the issue of possible deportation, Sheriff Veal added, “It is quite clear that with a non-custodial disposal one would not, on a summary complaint, be recommending deportation."

So if the Sheriff had chosen to give Rehmat a custodial sentence he would have recommended deportation? On the basis of his own sentence rather than the crime? That's just silly.

Not really particularly serious crimes - just a bit of fondling; probably not worthy of jail- but I'm not sure a whitey would have received the same benevolence.

Conversely, music piracy gets you 20 months in jail.

Some positive news from Iraq that the media are generally loathed to report.

Politically correct double standards

A further example - were it needed - of the double standards now forced on us by naive political correctness and its newfound, incongruous bed-fellow, a certain violently intolerant religion.

Last week several US newspapers decided not to run an episode of a long running cartoon strip because it mocked radical islam.

Yesterday Pakistan issued an official press release condemning a badly drawn cartoon - which apparently passes for mohammed - in a Swedish newspaper.

"The Government of Pakistan will continue to work, with like-mined countries, in the UN to find ways of addressing the recurring issue of defamation of islam and its sacred personalities."

Meanwhile in Australia a statue of the Virgin Mary in a burqa ("The Fourth Secret of Fatima") and an image of Jesus Christ that morphs into Osama bin Laden ("Bearded Orientals: Making the Empire Cross") are entered in an "art" competition. No problem.

The students at Sydney's National Art School presumably realised they were unlikely to be beheaded by a crowd of angry Christians. However, the school may yet be obliged to remove these "artworks" but not because they offend Christians (well, not to the point where they'd murder you anyway): Australian Federation of Islamic Councils president Ikebal Patel said "we don’t have any paintings or drawings depicting any of our prophets, so I find it quite offensive."

All religions should be ridiculed because all religions are ridiculous. There's only one religion that regularly and openly threatens my life.

Update 31Aug07: Ahmadinejad claims 'Zionists' behind Swedish cartoon. Surely. They're behind all wars as well: "Anywhere they are found there is war. Anywhere where there is war they are behind it". International Jihad is just a Zionist plot.

Iran accepts fresh nuclear plan

A pat on the back from the UN for agreeing to "a plan aimed at clearing up questions about its controversial nuclear activities" - whatever that means.

Or, to be more specific, its past nuclear activities.

"Once Iran's past nuclear programme has been clarified, Iran would need to continue to build confidence about the scope and nature of its present and future nuclear programme."

Agreeing to "a plan to clear up questions" is, apparently, a "significant step forward".

For the UN it probably is.

The Big Picture(s)

Protein Wisdom provides a pretty good summary of the mainstream media's undeniably biased coverage of Iraq.

"I am generally loathe to attribute to malice that which may be explained by incompetence, but it is possibile that both influence the coverage of Iraq."

UK Editor wants nuclear destruction of Israel

Editor-in-chief of London-based Arabic newspaper, Al-Quds Al-Arabi, and regular, "moderate" commentator on the BBC and Channel 4 news (amongst others), Abd Al-Bari Atwan, revels in the thought of Iran nuking Israel:

"If the Iranian missiles strike Israel, by Allah, I will go to Trafalgar Square and dance with delight...

If a war breaks out, where will the Iranians retaliate? If Iran is able to retaliate, it will burn the oil wells, block the Strait of Hormuz, attack the American bases in the Gulf and, Allah willing, it will attack Israel, as well."

If it's OK for Abdul to dream about bombing Israel it must be OK for me to dream about bombing Saudi Arabia. Ah, to target the Kaaba during the Hajj. Alas, I am nobody whereas Abdul edits a widely read Arabic newspaper, and I can only dream of incinerating Saudi Arabia whereas Iran is actively working towards their goal.

Journalists protest Hamas pressure

"Dozens of journalists held a sit-in in Gaza yesterday to protest against pressure on the media by the Islamist Hamas movement, which took over the territory in June.

Two days before the demonstration Hamas forces had detained four journalists and broken up a rally of the rival Fatah party, which is led by Mahmoud Abbas, the Palestinian President.

“Yes to freedom of the press!”, “No to journalists arrests!”, “Keep journalists out of politics!”, read banners at the gathering of more than 100 reporters in front of the journalists’ union building in central Gaza City. The Jerusalem-based Foreign Press Association urged “the relevant authorities in Gaza to allow the proper functioning of the free press. There can be no excuse for any attempt to limit this freedom.”

On Friday three cameramen and an AFP photographer were detained briefly at the Fatah rally. Hamas forces fired in the air to disperse the crowd and tried to detain two other cameramen, but were prevented from doing so by other journalists."

Fortunately for Hamas, even if journalists in their own country won't toe the line, they can always rely on their British mouthpiece - Al-Guardian - to get the right message across.

Turks elect ex-Islamist president

"ex-Islamist". As if the Islamist AKP would back someone who was an "ex-Islamist". Laughable.

When wrong boyfriends or clothes lead daughters to kill themselves

"Families in Turkey accused of forcing young women to take their own lives

...

"There's a lot of evidence to suggest that these are, in fact, 'honour killings' passed off as suicides"

...

Ironically, the suicides have also been blamed on Turkey's efforts to stop "honour crimes". With Ankara's reforming Islamic-rooted government determined to enter the EU, it has toughened laws against the killings. Lenient sentences for those who cite provocation as a mitigating factor are no longer possible. So, to save men from a life in prison, experts believe families are instead forcing women to kill themselves.

Pro-Hezbollah Group Will Demonstrate in Brussels on 9/11

"The Arab-European League (AEL), a pro-Hezbollah organization of Arab immigrants in Belgium and the Netherlands, is rallying its members to march in Brussels on 11 September “against Islamophobia and racism in Europe.”

...

The AEL was founded in Belgium in 2000. Its founder, Lebanese-born Hezbollah-member Dyab Abu Jahjah, has called the 9/11/2001 attacks “sweet revenge.” Following the Danish cartoon affair the AEL, advocating unrestricted freedom of speech, published anti-Semitic cartoons which deny the Holocaust. Though such denial is illegal in Belgium, the Belgian authorities failed to take any action. The AEL also demands that Arabic be recognized as an official language in Belgium.

The organization says it stands for three basic demands. “Bilingual education for Arab-speaking kids, hiring quotas that protect Muslims, and the right to keep our cultural customs.” According to Jahjah “Assimilation is cultural rape. It means renouncing your identity, becoming like the others.” In 2002 an AEL demonstration in Antwerp led to street riots and anti-Semitic violence. The AEL wants “the Jewish community in Antwerp to cease its support of, and distance itself from, the state of Israel. If not, attacks in Antwerp are almost unpreventable.”"

Well, better give them whatever they want then. As usual.

The "Stop the Islamisation of Europe" demo was banned. Muslims are allowed to say that Islam should take over Europe but Europeans are not allowed to object. Not that it matters, it's clearly too late anyway.

The day reality hit home

"The writer Andrew Anthony was a committed member of the liberal left - until the attacks of 11 September, 2001. A veteran of CND and Nicaraguan solidarity campaigns, he was astonished at the liberal left's anti-American reaction. And so he began to question other basic assumptions about race, crime and terror - a political journey he charts here, in these exclusive extracts from his compelling new book."

Not something one expects to come across in Al-Guardian - even from someone pushing their book. A genuine flying pig moment. I would imagine most Guardian readers probably choked on their organic, fair-trade coffee.

It's a very long article; here are a couple of lengthy snippets:

"Clearly some basic moral calculations needed to be performed. Which vision of the world represented more closely my own liberal outlook? The cosmopolitan city of New York, a multi-racial city of opportunity, a town where anyone on earth could arrive and thrive, exuberant, cultured, diverse, a place I had visited and loved for its liberty and energy and excitement? Or the people who attacked it, those arid minds who wanted to remove women from sight, kill homosexuals, banish music, destroy art, the demolishers of the Bamiyan Buddhas who aimed to terrorise everyone they could into submission to the will of their vengeful God? It was, as they say, a no-brainer, or should have been."

"In the end I reached the conclusion that 11 September had already brutally confirmed: there were other forces, far more malign than America, that lay in wait in the world. But having faced up to the basic issue of comparative international threats, could I stop the political reassessment there? If I had been wrong about the relative danger of America, could I be wrong about all the other things I previously held to be true? I tried hard to suppress this thought, to ring-fence the global situation, grant it exceptional status and keep it in a separate part of my mind. I had too much vested in my image of myself as a 'liberal'. I had bought into the idea, for instance, that all social ills stemmed from inequality and racism. I knew that crime was solely a function of poverty. That to be British was cause for shame, never pride. And to be white was to bear an unshakable burden of guilt. I held the view, or at least was unprepared to challenge it, that it was wrong to single out any culture for censure, except, of course, Western culture, which should be admonished at every opportunity. I was confident, too, that Israel was the source of most of the troubles in the Middle East. These were non-negotiables for any right-thinking decent person. I couldn't question these received wisdoms without questioning my own identity. And I had grown too comfortable with seeing myself as one of the good guys, the well-meaning people, to want to do anything that upset that image. I viewed myself as understanding, and to maintain that self-perception it was imperative that I didn't try to understand myself.

In a sense 11 September was the ultimate mugging, a murderous assertion of a new reality, or rather a reality that already existed but which we preferred not to see. Over the years I had absorbed a notion of liberalism that was passive, defeatist, guilt-ridden. Feelings of guilt governed my world view: post-colonial guilt, white guilt, middle-class guilt, British guilt. But if I was guilty, 9/11 shattered my innocence. More than anything it challenged us all to wake up and open our eyes to what was real. It took me far too long to meet that challenge. For while I realised almost straight away that 9/11 would change the world, it would be several years before I accepted that it had also changed me. I had been wrong. This was my story, after all."

Channel 4 TV complaint 'politically motivated'

Surely not. It can't be.

"It's hard to avoid the conclusion that this is a politically motivated referral, driven by the mistaken belief that the best means of dealing with separatist extremists is to appease them."

Update 23Aug07: Daily Express - "Blanket accusations of racism are regularly used to suppress debate about the problems caused by Islam."

Hamas TV rapped for animal abuse

"A US-based animal rights group says it will protest to a Hamas-run TV channel over a programme, showing animals being abused at a zoo in the Gaza Strip."

"Nahoul, a giant bee: My friends, Al-Aqsa awaits you. My dears, Al-Aqsa is very sad. My friends, Al-Aqsa is being held prisoner and is besieged by the criminal murderers of children. We must arise in order to take revenge upon the criminal Jews, the occupying Zionists. We must liberate Al-Aqsa. Do you know how we can liberate it and get hold of its key, just like it was liberated by Saladin?

Child host Saraa : How, Nahoul?

Nahoul: How? By means of morning prayers, blood, sacrifice, and pain, by means of martyrs, and with endurance. This is the key. I am so sad, Saraa.

[...]

Saraa: Don’t be sad, Nahoul. I, you, the dear children, even the older ones – the generation of the “Pioneers of Tomorrow”... Allah willing, we will regain the Al-Aqsa Mosque, and cleanse it of the impurity of the Zionists.

Nahoul: Allah willing."

Never mind all that, they may have hurt a cat.

Edinburgh International Flam Festival

Not really much of a surprise but we came across this carefully worded leader for one of the typically right-on, politically-correct, anti-Israel films at this years Edinburgh International Flam Festival:

"Beirut Stories - A tumultuous year in Lebanon: a revealing and dynamic set of short films shot from the day Israel began its assault in July 2006 to spring 2007."

That's the day Israel "began its assault". Skipping right past the day Hezbollah started the war with its assault, firing rockets and mortars into Israel, invading Israel and killing and kidnapping Israeli soldiers. It should better say that these films document, with extreme bias, Israel's response to Hezbollah's assault. Small, insignificant facts to the intended audience.

I loved Edinburgh when I was there in the early 90s but it must be one of the most pretentious and stuck-up cities in the world (as any Glaswegian will happily confirm) and the film festival organisers (as well as the fringe and - especially - the festival-proper) know exactly who there audience is.

Few working class people will be venturing into the city centre from the likes of Wester Hailes, Pilton or Craigmillar to spend their hard-earned cash on the sort of over-priced tripe generally on offer at the fringe. It's pretty much the exclusive realm of luvvies from Morningside or Marchmont.

Not that I want to get into slagging Morningside but I coincidentally came across this review of one of the main pubs in Morningside which I think - deliberately or not on the part of the reviewers - sums up the area, if not the whole of Edinburgh, perfectly.

"One of the only pubs in Edinburgh to have any class... I recommend you to ask for a mid 1990s Beaujolais nouveau at the bar to be assured of great service."

"looks that suggested i was in a bar 'out of my league'...the customers are the real problem here."

"I get the impression the Canny Man's is deliberately alienating as customers the sort of people I and many others would cross the road to avoid...I just wish the staff of the likes of the Cafe Royal and the Guildford Arms were a little "ruder" to some of the neds who sadly drop in...last remaining pubs to maintain customer standards"

"never, ever, have I come across such a bunch of impertinent, self-absorbed and undeniably arrogant bunch of folk. "

"This amazing looking place is ruined by snobbery and cliquishness"

Well, you will drink in Morningside. Having said that, you wouldn't catch me in a pub in Craigmillar, either.

Richard Dawkins and the New Age fakers

"Two years after challenging a selection of religious fundamentalists to justify their beliefs in Channel 4’s The Root of All Evil, Richard Dawkins - "Darwin’s rottweiler" - is growling again. This time, in The Enemies of Reason, he takes on the wider penumbra of the paranormal, New Age mystical mumbo-jumbo, and the often expensive spiritual services that bring succour to the sucker."

Contrary to all reason people seem to be even more eager to believe in fairy stories than ever before (Islam is a religion of peace) very sad.

Here's the documentary at YouTube.

Wikipedia 'shows CIA page edits'

"An online tool that claims to reveal the identity of organisations that edit Wikipedia pages has revealed that the CIA was involved in editing entries."

What the BBC fails to mention in their article is the huge number of edits attributable to BBC employees (or, at least, BBC IP numbers) - Winston Smith is alive and well and working for the BBC (plagiarised from Biased BBC). LGF reader, Wicksy, came up with a nice selection - my favourite has to be the change to "Islamophobia".

(When you start to look at the profiles of wiki editors we shouldn't be surprised at the bias.)

Muslim Doctors and Dentists Association

According to their constitution, their objectives are:

2.1.1. To advance the Islamic religion in the practice of medicine in the United Kingdom

2.1.4. To promote the preservation and protection of the good health of Muslims in the United Kingdom.

We can only guess at their plans for the Kuffar.

I thought their page dedicated to Islamic Medical Ethics was particularly apt:

Doctor charged with sex assault. A member of MDDA? The girl was 13 so under Sharia law there's no crime here but due to the current policies of this Fascist state, "The doctor was immediately excluded from duty at the hospital".

Ban Koran like Mein Kampf, says Dutch MP

"The Koran should be banned as a “fascist book” alongside Mein Kampf because it urges Muslims to kill non-believers, says Dutch populist MP Geert Wilders.

The leader of the far-right Freedom Party, which holds nine of the Dutch parliament's 150 seats has called for the ban after an alleged Islam inspired attack on a Labour councillor who had renounced the Muslim faith.

Mr Wilders claims that the Koran “calls on Muslims to oppress, persecute or kill Christians, Jews, dissidents and non-believers, to beat and rape women and to establish an Islamic state by force”. "

Nice idea but the book's not the problem...unless it's stuck in the U-bend.

Religious items from religions other than Islam are banned in Saudi Arabia.

Man targets Holyrood in fireball bid

"A man tried to set himself alight outside the Scottish Parliament after pouring flammable oil over himself.

The Turkish man had to be bundled to the ground by two police officers guarding the front entrance to the building."
...
The man ... is believed to suffer from psychiatric problems" (i.e. he's a muslim).

"Police believe he was trying to make some kind of protest against the Scottish higher education system."

Yeah, that seems the most likely explanation.

"The man pleaded not guilty and was released on bail." Simple as that.

C4 'distorted' mosque programme

"Police are reporting Channel 4 to industry regulator Ofcom over the way an undercover programme was edited."

Muslims calling for the murder of non-muslims is fine but try reporting it and you're "stirring up racial hatred. It seems there may be no limit to how far we will go to appease the religion of perpetual outrage.

(I love the use of the abbreviation 'C4' in the context of Muslim extremism - very appropriate.)

Schools are run by Islamic group Blair pledged to ban

"Members of a radical Muslim group that Tony Blair promised to ban after the July 7 bombings have set up two schools in Britain to educate primary age children.

The Islamic Shaksiyah Foundation, a registered charity that runs private schools in Haringey, north London, and in Slough in Berkshire, was established two years ago by female members of the extremist group Hizb ut-Tahrir."

And still on the subject of the growing muslim insurgency and sedition: The wrong voice for Muslim Britain - "Yesterday Hizb ut-Tahrir (HuT) held a conference in London offering the “one solution that can bring stability and justice to the world” and meet the “legitimate aspirations” of Muslims. In reality, this group offers nothing but despair."

UN Darfur force 'will be too weak'

Of course it will be, if it ever gets there.

"United Nations officials in Sudan fear that the hasty plan to send a 26,000-strong peacekeeping force to Darfur, approved by the Security Council last week, will backfire because its mandate is too weak."

"To overcome Chinese objections at the Security Council, it was agreed that the new force would not have the power to disarm the warring factions or seize illegal weapons. There was no threat of sanctions against Sudan's government, which agreed to abide by the watered-down resolution."

"What the hell are we supposed to use man? Harsh language?"

Fees deal move for asylum pupils

"Tuition fees are to be waived for the children of asylum seekers going to university in Scotland if they have been at school for three years.

The BBC has learned that they will also be entitled to grants to help young people stay on in S5 and S6 at school.

It follows a report showing children from asylum seeker families had overcome language barriers and racism to outperform Scots pupils in exams."

It seems the only way to ensure asylum seekers are treated "fairly" is to give them special treatment, thus ensuring that everyone else is treated "unfairly".

One in 11 British Muslims backs suicide bombers

"As many as one in 11 British Muslims agree with and proactively support terrorism, a Government adviser has warned police.

Haras Rafiq also told officers at Scotland Yard that up to 20 per cent of the Muslim population ' sympathise' with militants, while stopping short of being prepared to 'blow themselves up'.

Mr Rafiq, an adviser to the Government's preventing extremism taskforce, said: "A percentage of people actually agree and support proactively the people that are deciding to blow themselves up.

"It varies, it can be 7 per cent, 5 per cent, 9 per cent."

With 1.6million Muslims living in the UK, nine per cent is the equivalent of 144,000 people supporting terrorism. "

And that's just the ones who were prepared to answer the question honestly.

Olympics chiefs to hire TEN 'equality' managers at up to £100,000 each

"Olympics organisers are spending millions of pounds hiring a team of 'equality and inclusion' managers.

Part of their job will be to ensure that all the construction firms involved with the 2012 Games employ enough ethnic minority and female builders.

At least ten senior equality executives will be employed and paid for by the Olympic Delivery Authority.

This organisation, headed by Civil Aviation Authority boss Sir Roy McNulty, is charged with building the stadiums, village and park for the Games in London.

Five key jobs have already been advertised with salaries of more than £100,000 - plus bonuses.

The authority was yesterday attempting to recruit a 'Head of Equality and Inclusion'; a 'Deputy Head of Equality and Inclusion'; an 'Equality Monitoring and Research Manager'; an 'Equality and Inclusion Manager (Audit and Support); and an 'Equality and Inclusion Manager (Impact and Engagement)'.

...

The extra costs will have to be met from public money, including higher council tax bills for Londoners.

I'm afraid this is real - I didn't make it up.
