Bin Laden look-alike runs for election)
Armed members of a
Nigerian Islamist group known as the Taleban stormed a police station in the northern city of Kano, killing at least 13 people. (Nigeria's trying to hold elections - how un-Islamic can you get?)
Suspected Muslim insurgents shot and killed two Buddhist laborers and then
beheaded one of them as deadly violence and scattered bombings continued Wednesday in "restive" southern Thailand.
Three employees of a publishing house that distributes Bibles have their
throats cut in the latest attack targeting Turkey's Christian minority

Meanwhile, in the still hopelessly naive western world:
EU agrees to penalties for racism and xenophobia. "
The new deal specifies one- to three-year prison terms be available for incitement to violence or hatred "against a group of persons or a member of such a group defined by reference to race, colour, religion, descent or national or ethnic origin". We can't have whiteys disrespecting people from other countries and religions, after all. (Obviously exceptions have been made for Israel.)
